Shaun White offers a very advanced approach to Therapeutic Massage.  He started his journey in Massage Therapy at Sir Sandford Fleming College where he graduated in 2004.

In addition to his education, Shaun has training in:

  • Cranial Sacral Techniques

  • Myofascial Release

  • Sensory Approach

  • Joint Mobilizations

  • Muscle Energy Techniques

  • Usui System of Reiki

  • Mindfulness

With all his training he has mastered a very unique style of Massage Therapy.  It is a combination of massage therapy, joint mobilizations, myofascial realignment, energy work and intuition all applied to balance the body as a whole.

Growing up Shaun was a competitive athlete for several years; health and wellness has always had an important role in his life.  On his spare time, Shaun is active in exercise and yoga.  When he is away from the clinic, gym or yoga studio, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dog Lotus plus travelling and exploring the world.

Benefits of Massage Therapy

Acute Pain Syndrome:

Unfortunately, part of living is dealing with acute pain.  Most of us have experienced pain at some point in our life.  Its recognizing this pain and preventing it from becoming a chronic issue.  Whether you are an athlete or someone who works a 9-5 at a desk, these acute issues can arise:

  • Stress

  • Back and Neck Pain

  • Strains

  • Sprains

  • Tendonitis

  • Bursitis

  • Fasciitis

Massage Therapy can help alleviate pain and inflammation, enhancing the healing process.  Thus, preventing these acute pain issues from becoming chronic pain issues.

Chronic Pain Syndrome:

As discussed above, acute pain syndrome over time can turn into chronic pain syndromes.  These chronic conditions include:

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Back and Neck Pain

  • Headaches and Migraines

  • TMJ Problems

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Arthritis

Massage Therapy is very beneficial in managing and alleviating chronic pain.  These conditions can be very debilitating to someone.  With the manipulation of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints of the body, the therapist can relieve tension in the body, increase circulation, increase range of motion, alleviate pressure off the nerves and reduce the overall stress in the body.  This will positively effect your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Maintenance and Preventive Massage Therapy:

Massage Therapy has been proven to increase the wellbeing of individuals.  It is recommended at first to see your therapist on a regular basis, but after a few visits, coming in as little as once a month is a great maintenance and preventative injury program.
